Official Philanthropy - Secular Student Alliance

“Philanthropy” is derived from Greek to mean “love of humanity”. The Secular Student Alliance is committed to service, community support and volunteer work. Below are some of the projects we have undertaken in the past or are currently working on. We are always open to support, ideas and collaboration from other organizations with common philanthropic goals.

Feeding the Reno Homeless

Once a month the SSA of UNR cooks and serves food for the homeless people of Reno. There are many mouths to feed and we can always use volunteers to donate money, cook or help serve. C ontact us if you are capable of assisting in any way. We have also begun a "send an atheist to church" fundraiser. Please pass it along to people who might be interested.
